Check the order before the label
Start with the orders that are ready to leave. Confirm payment and stock, then check the recipient's name, contact details and complete street address. Include a unit number or business name when it helps the courier find the door.
Use actual packed dimensions and weight. A product's weight alone may leave out the box and protective packaging; couriers can measure and re-weigh a parcel after collection.
Choose a service for this delivery
Available services depend on the collection and delivery addresses, the parcel and the courier. Compare the final booking price and the delivery estimate together.
An estimate is a planning aid rather than a guarantee. Collection cut-offs, weekends, public holidays and outlying areas can affect the journey. Check the courier's applicable terms for the service you choose.
Keep booking and packing together
Once a shipment is booked, print its waybill and attach it securely to the correct parcel. Keep the barcode flat and readable. Remove or cover old labels if you reuse a box.
When preparing a batch, use a repeatable order: pick, check, pack, label. A clear packing station and a final order-to-label check help prevent two customers' parcels being swapped.
Follow the journey after collection
A shipping workflow does not end at the printer. Keep an eye on courier updates and review exceptions so that a delayed or unsuccessful delivery can be followed up.
CurShip brings these tasks into Shopify and its shared portal: book, print, track and handle exceptions without switching tools.
